mid October - random happenings in Standish area:)

Reading by the woodstove, so happy all 3 kids love to read so much!  Tuck is an voracious reader, we often go up to bed around 10pm and he's still reading.  He goes through books faster than I can keep them in the house.  He recently just started reading, "Peter and the Starcatchers" and is absolutely loving the series.  A light switch just went off for Brookie too and she is starting to stay up a little extra at night and read.  She is just starting to be able to read "Nate the Great" books and is quite proud of herself.

October 20th - trip to Boston to see Lindsey Stirling with Gates' at the Wang Theater!!!

 Erica and I surprised the girls with tickets to see their violin playing idol, Lindsey Stirling!  They have been looking forward to this for a long time and it was an amazing trip.  Lindsey Stirling played in Boston at the Wang Theater so we went down on a Thursday afternoon and got to spend a few hours walking around Boston.  They loved Faneuil Hall of course and we ate at a cool noodle restaurant attached to the Hall.  The show started at 8 and after finding our seats and admiring the Wang, the show started.  Lindsey was an amazing performer and the music was great.  The girls were in awe and really enjoyed it, especially since they knew a ton of her songs and she was such an entertainer.  Brooklyn's favorite part was the little skit she did backstage when the cameras were rolling and the audience wasn't supposed to know what was happening.  Despite it being a late night home with sleepy girls, we all would totally go again!
