August 27th - swimming at Mimi's...

Kids are loving their week at Mimi's house.  I told her that with all this fun, they're not going to want to come home!!

Mckinley took 4 steps when I picked up this afternoon...and that was it, she refused to take anymore!  We think she was distracted and didn't realize she was walking!!  Keep going Kins!!

August 25th - many faces of Mckinley

She's missing Tuck and Brooke like crazy!  I signed Brooke up for ballet/tap tonight and she was so excited!!  Then she said (over the phone), "Mommy, now can you please, please, pretty please sign me up for rock climbing too!"  Haha, love it!

August 24th - beautiful day at the coast

We had a beautiful day at Penobscot!  We had Topher's brunch in the morning, boated in the afternoon and just relaxed!  Tuck and Brooke are spending the week with Mimi and Poppi because I go back to work and school doesn't start until Tuesday.  They were very excited to spend some extra time with Uncle Richie and Auntie Amy too!

August 22nd - a little snafu...

So while trying to a hundred things at the same time, I packed the van up and smacked into our camper.  The van took the worst of it, luckily the camper was a small fix because we just sold it!  So needless to say, we did not head down to the coast right away, Jay wanted to fix as much as he could.  So instead, we met friends at the playground and ended up at the Marden's with Hayman's and Dries for impromptu get together...

August 21st - Big kids surf day, Tuck visits allergist

Surf session at Higgins with the

Marden's and Dries while Mckinley spent the day with Cindy.  Then we took Tucky to see an allergist and it turns out he is really allergic to dust mites, trees, weeds and dogs!  So we learned how we can help him by getting allergenic pillows and mattress covers, shutting his bedroom window, not hanging sheets or clothes on the line, getting an air purifier, keeping Casco out of his room and he'll start taking a daily med to help him.  Wieners, no wonder why he's been struggling so much!

August 20th - Cindy's and school

So today I had to work in my classroom and the kids went to Cindy's.  Since I forgot to take a picture, here's a few Jess Lampron just sent me from when she visited us on the Penobscot!  Love the family pic she took!

August 18th - biking Narrow Gauge trail, family surf night at Higgins

Big day for the Roy kids and their parents!!  We woke up at camp and packed in time to bike in the river trail before lunch.  After a playground stop in the Valley, we raced home to unpack, then repack for beach night.  The surf was perfect for the kids and we played until dark. Brookie and Kins played on the beach while Tucky jumped into the surf with his friends.  It was definitely a fun night, lots if surfing and fun waves, we all want to do again soon!
