March 12-13th - spring skiing at the Loaf!
Fun weekend of spring skiing with friends! The snow was soft, the sun was shining and a lot of kids were smiling! We had a BBQ après-ski in the parking lot and dinner with everyone back at camp. It was a blast! On Sunday the girls and I left early for Maya's 7th bday party while Jay and Tuck skied/snowboarder all day with Mike and Kim. Despite not having any substantial snowstorms this year, we sure have gotten our money's worth! We also spent Sunday evening with the Tinker's playing outside and having cousin time!

March 5/6th - Katadin Woods & Waters cross country ski hut overnight trip with the ladies!
What a trip! 6 Momma's took off on a Friday night and started driving north with plans to head into the wilderness...
Our first stop was at Kristen's camp at Cold Stream Lake in Lincoln for the night. Then we drove to the Matagamon Wilderness to park our vehicles and hit the trailhead. Good friends of mine, Mark and Sue Adams, maintain the area and it was so good to catch up with them after such a long time!
We couldn't have asked for better weather or conditions! The trails were in great shape (despite no snow anywhere else in the state this year) and the scenery was beautiful. We had an 11 mile ski in by the river to the Big Spring Brook hut and we had the place to ourselves.
Many little adventures followed...and then we had a great ski out the next day. I was really impressed with the whole place and kept thinking about how much I want to bring the kids up here to explore next time. We all wished we had more time to stay and play but we were anxious to get back to the kids too.
