July 27th - Hot Cocoa

This morning while Brookles and I were hanging out, she pointed to my coffee and said, "I no like that."  I told her that is good that she doesn't like it but she might like to try some hot cocoa before we go camping today.  I made her a little mug full and she was loving it.  Every time she took a sip she said, "I drink this all by myself Mom", and wanted a high 5.  Then I asked her if she would just stop growing and stay this size because she's such a cutie and she replied.....

"I have to be 4 Mom (holding up 4 fingers)."

"Why do you have to be 4 Brookie, what happened to 3?"

"I have to be 4 to have a lobster on my head like Tuckyman."

I just about died!  At the coast Tuck got brave enough to have a lobster sit on his head for a second.  Brookie was not into it and Tucky told her that was okay, she didn't have to do it until she was four.  Well, I guess she was listening because she wants to be four now.....  I love the things they say!

I also said, "Hey Peanut" to her this morning and followed it up by saying "Hey little peanut butter..." and she said, "Yes, I want to have peanut butter right now."

July 23rd - more Penobscot living

More fun with family down at Penobscot.  We had a little cocktail party at Uncle Forbes and Aunt Dooley's place and when I mentioned it to Brookie, she said, "Yay, a party, it's my birthday!"  I was cracking up!

The kids drove down the gator and were quite social.  They love family gatherings and the appetizers of course too!  It was a late night but all three of us crashed as soon as we got back.  The interesting part was getting back....  I was told that the kids were in the gator and starting to drive off by themselves, they were tired.
They forgot to tell me that they were leaving, I had mentioned it about five minutes earlier but they didn't respond.  Needless to say, I flew out the door and ended up having to push them in the gator, all the way back up the hill because the battery died.   Funny night

July 22nd - Finally some Penobscot fun!

We have been wanting to spend some time down at the coast so badly but with the move, the twins and summer craziness, it just hasn't happened.

The kids and I drove down on Sunday so that we
could spend a few days at Penobscot before our Moosehead trip while Daddy worked.  The whole gang was down, including the Busque's, so the kids were very excited.

We had a big lobster bake, played outside and just spent time on the porch talking.  Baby Avery and Baby Logan are big hits with the older cousins, they were getting plenty of attention.
I was proud of Tuck for touching the lobsters!  Last year he wouldn't go near them but after Poppi gave him a glove, he picked them up and became more and more brave.  He even chased after Erin, who was not a big lobster fan!!!

Tuck and Brooklyn have both been practicing their "Nighty night Mr. Sun" and were quite happy to lead us all as the sun set.  Ahhh, summer!
