Daddy, Tuck and Brooklyn arrived home just in time for a good foot of snow! It made the last hour of the drive home from Florida a bit more difficult but were they excited to put on snowsuits and play in the snow!!! We've got some great big banks right now, perfect for sledding and fort building!

February Vacation - Vero Beach, FL!!!
What a fabulous week of sun, fun, sand and water in Florida! It just feels so nice to leave behind the boots and walk barefoot in the sand! I think it is just about the most refreshing thing to do during the winter!
We had such a great time with Mimi, Poppi, Nahne and the twins! Plus, my cousin Ashley and her whole family was down so we could visit with Grant, Hayes and Brooke too. Uncle Forbes and Aunt Dooley were also there all week.
We walked 100 yards to the beach, 20 feet to the heated pool and everything else in between. There was so much for us to do and the kids were busy, busy, busy playing all day. They loved swimming in the pool and digging in the sand. We found lots of shells and took walks on the beach.
We spent four days doing just that... we didn't get in a car at all, just hung out on John's Island and relaxed! The weather was as good as I remember a February vacation week being, high 70's to low 80's! Plenty strong and warm enough for us! Our chilled Maine bodies felt so good in the warm sand and it was just a great week!
I flew home with Nahne and the babies because being 28 weeks pregnant, the 24 hour car ride wasn't happening and she needed help too. The kids and Daddy rode back with Mimi and Poppi and made great time, just under 24 hours! They did so well, I'm very proud of them, it's a long haul!
