October 27th - Fall Festival at Tuck's preschool

What a fun day!  The Fall Festival at Tuck's preschool, Creative Explorations, was great!  The kids had a ball and they were psyched to see so many of their friends.  The Scorza crew came over to join us as well.

We found honey sticks in hay bales, talked with a bee keeper, made bird feeder pinecones, had faces painted, tried some different foods, played with some animals and danced to fun music.  Brooklyn was an animal during the song and dance event, she danced the whole time and just had a blast.  On one song where you were supposed to give yourself a great big hug, Brooklyn and a little boy next to her hugged each other and didn't let go until the song was done, too cute!  Tuck was so excited to see his teachers and introduce all his friends.  We had a great time and even got to play with Derek, who was volunteering as well!

October 26th - snuggling with dolls

Brooklyn is in a "LOVE BABIES" phase and carries her baby everywhere.  She gets to play with a little 3 month old at Cindy's all week and just loves her!  This morning Brooklyn asked  us to tie on Tucky's Home Depot tool belt so that she could carry her baby.  I think she thought it was a baby Bjorn!

As I was helping Brooke buckle her seat belt yesterday she said, "Thanks Momma."  I replied, "You're welcome Daughter."  Well, she looked at me and said, "Mommy, my name not daughter, I Brooklyn Annelise Roy!!!"

October 24th - writing numbers

Tuck and Brookie have been really interested in drawing, every night.  This was Tuck's drawing of Edward the train and if you look closely, he drew the number 4 on the train, Edward's number.  I randomly asked him if he could write the numbers 1-5 on his own and he started from memory.  When he got to five, he asked if he could keep going and I said, "of course!"  He wrote his numbers up to 14 from memory, and this Momma was super impressed!

October 23rd - Leaf Man

Tuck made this project after reading the book "Leaf Man" at school.  His teacher said he spent 45 minutes working on it and wanted to write what each picture was too.  I was super impressed, very clever ideas little man and great writing!

October 21st - nice fall day at home

Silly little kids!  They were having so much fun making each other laugh and Mommy just kept snapping pictures!  It was an awesome morning, cool outside but pretty with all the changing leaves.  They helped me rake while Daddy and his friend worked on getting the woodstove installed in the entryway.
We were eating lunch today and we had mac 'n' cheese with veggie burgers.  Tucky looked at me and said, "Mommy, can you pack mac 'n' cheese as my entree for lunch tomorrow."  I asked him where he learned the word entree and he said they are asked to eat their entree first at school....the things they learn!

October 20th - New Gloucester Fairgrounds

October 16th - Rock Star Brookie

One little girl is loving Momma's Ukulele!  She was serenading us and then rocking out to "Old McDonald had a farm."  At one point, Tucky looked at her and said, "Hit it Brookie!"

She also kept moving in front of the window so she could see her reflection, too funny.

October 11th - good morning

October 8th - trying on "pretty dress"

OOOH, Brooklyn got to try out her new pretty dress for Uncle Jeffy and Danielle's wedding!  She absolutely loved it....and didn't want to take it off at all!

Brooklie just loves her dresses and the more frills, the better!  We sent the picture to Danielle and she thought it was great!
