March 31st - Easter weekend

What a great Easter weekend!  We had good weather and lots of home time for a change.  The kids were very excited for the Easter bunny to come visit us!

We planted some magic jelly beans on Saturday night, in the hopes that something special might grow from them overnight.  Well, to our surprise, we found these large, swirly lollipops and plastic eggs in the ground where we had planted our magic jelly beans.  What a surprise!

After a fun jelly bean hunt and some play time at home, we packed up and headed to Nahne's house to spend Easter with the family.  They were really excited to see everyone and play with Avery and Logan.  Mimi, Poppi, Auntie Amy, Richie and Terri and Steve also came down to spend Easter together.

Nahne had planned a great meal and fabulous egg hunt.  The kids raced around the yard, searching for their eggs and some special ones filled with coins and dollar bills.  Nahne's Easter bunny is a high roller....:)

There was lots of playing, lots of bike riding and walks outside and some lounging in between.  The kids definitely had their share of goodies and will need a little sugar detox this week I'm betting.  It was a great Easter, lots of fun!

March 29th - spring weather and big puddles!

A nice Friday afternoon to jump and ride bikes through puddles.  The kids are loving our driveway and Tuck is all about building jumps for his bike.  He actually got out a few of his ride on toys and made a snow jump first.  Brookie rode through the puddles and then decided that ditching the bike to splash around in our boots and clothes would be more fun.  Tucky pulled out some kindling and made a bridge/dam/reservoir in the puddle too.  They are definitely loving the warmer weather!

March 28th - our new car....

Well, not really.  We had ordered toilet paper, paper towels and other goodies from Amazon so we had these large boxes in the entryway so Tuck and Brooke set to turning them into a car.  Daddy helped cut the holes and then the kids colored.  Tuck added lights and pipe cleaner windshield wipers.  They plan on painting it when the weather gets nice and I think it could use some sort of tires too....

We actually did buy a new car....it's just not here yet.  We bought a "new to us" 2006 Honda Odyssey, we are now officially a minivan family:)

March 23rd - tree skiing at the Loaf

We have a few tree skiers in the family.... That's right, Tuck and Brooklyn love the glades off Whiffletree, especially Broccoli Garden.  Tuck is really having a blast weaving his way amongst the trees with his new ski buddy, Levi, and Brooklyn wants Daddy to tether her in there as well.  She had a branch give her "a little kiss" and didn't even know she had a scratch across her face.  They skied hard both days and we got some really fun footage on the GoPro as well.  As we were heading out Saturday afternoon, we found a park bench that some kids had turned into a little jump and the kids had a blast launching off it.  Fun weekend with lots of good skiing!
