Finally a little sun and we took advantage. Tuck and I were outside from early on through late in the day and he loved it. It was a hot muggy day and after breakfast and a short walk, we brought Casco down to the boat landing to swim. Normally there's a little beach for Tuck to walk on, but the river was so high so we didn't stay long.
We did however have a little experiment with chalk. I bought Tuck a little case of sidewalk chalk and I was just hoping he wouldn't eat it. He didn't. He drew on the tar a little and then found a nice big puddle to play in. He loves his puddles.

We played a little inside and after a snack and some pots and pans banging, Tuck went down for a nap around 11. He slept for about an hour and a half, better than the last couple days, and I got the chance to rest a little too. He woke up and was super hungry, so I fed him some pizza and he loved that too.

This afternoon, Jill and Jack came over to splash around in this little splash mat thing I got Tuck awhile ago. It's part inflatable and the other part fills with water when attached to a hose. It was pretty cute and works well for little guys their age. Jack's about 5 weeks younger than Tuck, which is great.
The boys splashed around a little and I was wishing I could have used a little splashing too. It was so stinking hot out, not complaining after all the rain, but the humidity... So Tuck has the cutest curls but with the heat, his locks were a bit difficult to tame so Jill helped give him a haircut. She does her boys hair and even though I gave Tuck his first haircut, I wasn't sure how to take care of this. It looks great! Monica and Tyler stopped by too and Tuck gave Tyler a big old kiss. We've been working on blowing kisses and he's never really cared much, but I think he got a hold of it today. It's very cute.

Daddy came home just after Tuck's bath and got him some dinner. I was a bit exhausted from the day's activities and the whole pregnancy thing, so I took a break. Tuck and Daddy went for a nice walk in the stroller before bedtime as well. Bedtime was about 7pm but we're starting to think about changing how we do it. Normally we read a couple books in his room, then cuddle in the rocking chair until he falls asleep. Normally that doesn't take very long, but in the past two weeks, he's been resisting and even though he seems asleep, the minute you walk away, he wakes up and cries. I hate to hear him cry, but sometimes about 10 minutes and he's down. Tonight Jay had to go up and rub his back for awhile. We're going to be down to the coast off and on the next couple weeks so I think it's going to be hard to change anything yet. He's such a light sleeper sometimes.
